Uruguay has an enormous challenge on its hands in their upcoming encounter in the World Cup Qualifiers. They are set to take on current World Cup winners, Argentina, led by Lionel Messi, who have been unbeaten throughout the qualifiers. Uruguay manager Marco Bielsa touched down on the game during a press conference, revealing his plan to stop La Pulga. The game could also see the Argentine reunite with ex-teammate Luis Suarez who has been included back into Uruguay’s squad.

The game will also allow Messi’s Inter Miami to keep an eye on Suarez. The side is reportedly interested in signing the player. Suarez, who is currently a part of Gremio, has been linked to a move to Inter Miami to reunite with his former Barcelona teammates.

Bielsa outlines his plan to stop Lionel Messi

Marco Bielsa talked about stopping la Pulga during his recent press conference. The veteran manager claimed there is no formula to stop Messi, and he’s just the best player in the world.

Bielsa stated, “There is no formula to stop Messi. Sometimes you will have to ask him what would be convenient to try to stop him from playing well. Maybe this is good for football, that the best player in the world shines despite the formulas.”

Uruguay will have an enormous challenge on their hands while facing the Albiceleste. The side has been unbeaten so far in the qualifiers, winning 4 out of 4 games, and conceding 0 goals. Argentina will be using the game as a platform to build momentum before their massive game against Brazil.

The game will be an enormous opportunity for Luis Suarez to leave an impact if he gets a chance to feature in the game. Meanwhile, the player has been under Inter Miami’s radar for a while now, with the team hoping to reunite him with Leo Messi.
