Bournemouth owner Bill Foley has provided some positive updates for the club fans about USMNT star Tyler Adams. It has been confirmed that the 24-year-old is progressing well in his recovery and has already started running. For those not aware, the midfielder has been sidelined for over four months due to a hamstring injury.

Initially, the injury occurred during the previous season while he was still playing for Leeds United. Unfortunately, it resurfaced after his transfer to Bournemouth in the summer of 2023, ultimately leading to the need for surgical intervention.

American entrepreneur and Bournemouth owner Bill Foley provides an update about Tyler Adams’ progress. With a sense of confidence, he mentioned, “He’s now running. He’s not really I’d say exercising hard, but he’s back running.” Foley also provided an expected return date, adding, ” And we think by the end of February-early March he’s gonna be on the pitch and I look forward to it.”

It means fans of ‘The Cherries’ will have to wait just a month or two longer to witness the return of this talented USMNT midfielder. Unfortunately, Tyler Adams’ time with Bournemouth has been plagued by injuries. So far, he has only made one substitute appearance for the team.

His debut came in September during their 2-0 victory over Stoke City in the EFL Cup. Unfortunately, he had to go under the knife after that. Nonetheless, Foley is excited to see his $25 million signing back on the field soon. The return of Adams is also a promising development for the USMNT as they prepare for the Copa America.

A Copa America return is still in the picture for the USMNT captain

Tyler Adams, who served as the captain for the USMNT in the 2022 World Cup, has been absent from the team since then. Nonetheless, he can make a comeback just in time for the Copa America 2024. The tournament begins in June 2024, and if there are no unexpected hurdles, the midfielder could have the opportunity to represent his country once again on his home turf.
