The soccer media owes a lot to Neymar. Such is the interest surrounding the life of the Brazilian. Even during his Santos days, he piqued the interest of many due to his fashion choices, and party lifestyle. These off-the-pitch antics have often resulted in criticism of Neymar. The 31-year-old superstar is currently injured and out of action. However, a new piece of information has given his critics a different arsenal. After all, they won’t be able to blame his performances on the pitch anytime soon.
The Brazilian’s last match was the World Cup qualifier loss against Uruguay. Neymar injured his knee and left the pitch on a stretcher. Scans confirmed that Neymar ruptured an ACL and will be out for 6-9 months. It was expected that we would not hear of Neymar anytime soon. However, that does not seem to be the case.

Neymar once again makes the headlines for the wrong reasons
According to information in the Leo Dias Column, Neymar recently threw a party at his mansion situated in Rio Di Janeiro. The event lasted for a full two days. A source reported the following -“The injury suffered by the player had little impact on his performance at the party, and the star would be dancing and enjoying himself normally. Broken leg only on the field, in reviews he dances like crazy”. The report also mentioned that the party was moved to a farm and the soccer player was in the company of several women.

Back in 2021, in an interview with French station TF1, he revealed his love for parties. Neymar said, “So, who doesn’t like to party? Everyone likes to have fun”. He also added “I’ve been in football for several years, if you stay 100% with your head focused on just playing football, in my opinion, you end up exploding. It is my time to relax, to be calm. … I will never stop doing it.” It looks like Neymar prefers to keep his social life to himself.

Should Soccer players be judged for their social life?
Neymar is not the first player to be criticized for his off-field antics. Former Manchester United and current Juventus player Paul Pogba was criticized for dancing at a wedding. Despite their fame and standing in society, soccer players are normal people outside the pitch. Considering the toxicity of social media, it seems hard to disagree with Neymar.
