Al Nassr FC came into the news in December last year. They offered free agent and Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo a record salary and signed him on the last day of 2022. Ronaldo is now the highest-paid athlete in the world. However, the Saudi Arabian club is showing its ambition as it is lining up moves for Ronaldo’s former teammates.

The Saudi Pro League club signed Ronaldo for a $200 million salary per year for two and a half years. He could potentially earn $500 million once the contract ends in June 2025. Since the Portuguese transfer, reports have linked the club with many high-profile signings, and now the name of PSG defender and Real Madrid midfielder have popped up.

Al Nassr is eyeing reuniting Cristiano Ronaldo with his former teammates

Former Real Madrid defender and captain Sergio Ramos is on the radar of the Gulf club. Ramos is in his last few months of the PSG contract. There is no news of a new contract offer from the Parisians to date. Ramos has recently announced his retirement from international soccer and will continue to play club soccer. Al Nassr is looking to sign the World Cup winner at the end of the season.

Another player on the radar for the Saudi club is Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric. The Ballon d’Or winner is also in his last few months of contract at the Los Blancos. However, there is speculation that the player might sign for one more year with the Whites. Meanwhile, Al Nassr is eager to sign the Croatian and will wait till 2024 if he signs a contract extension.
