Gerard Pique was an integral part of the World Cup-winning team in 2010, while also playing a crucial part in Barcelona’s golden generation under Pep Guardiola. Having played with some of the biggest names on the planet, it comes as no surprise that the Spaniard wants the cream of the crop for his best seven-a-side in history.

In a recent podcast with the YouTube channel “The Club”, Gerard Pique was asked about seven names who could play for his team. The Barcelona star was pretty sure about the players he wanted in his side, with some of his former teammates taking a few spots. However, Pique decided to stun the hosts when he said he would likely put both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo on his dream team.

The defender picked Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas to stand between the posts, and then went on the explain the composition of his team “For me, I mean our top, uh, in the history of the game, which is football. Then in the midfield, I would say Cesc Fabregas, because he’s like a brother and I think in the Premier League, he’s been one of the greatest midfielders. I would say Iniesta because well he’s Iniesta, and he brought us the World Cup and with that goal, he’s more than enough.”
