He was once again in the spotlight as he recently got into a heated altercation with an Al Feiha player during their recent match. The incident apparently stemmed from a league match that ended in a scoreless draw.

Cristiano Ronaldo lost his cool

Al-Nassr has enjoyed a successful few months since Ronaldo’s arrival. The Portuguese striker himself is enjoying his return form, having scored 11 goals in Saudi. But the team was not able to find a winning formula against Al Feiha. Not helping the situation was the fact that Al Feiha employed tactics of time-wasting to ensure they could survive till the final whistle, something that reportedly frustrated Ronaldo.

It was in protest to these tactics that Ronaldo confronted Al Feiha’s Ali Al-Zaqaan and said: “You don’t want to play”. Despite no goals being scored, the match still ended with some drama. After the final whistle, Ronaldo walked straight down the tunnel without exchanging pleasantries. Unlike his teammates, he went off without doing the customary handshakes with the opposing team players. Ronaldo clearly demonstrated his dissatisfaction with the match’s outcome with his antics.

While the match ended with a draw, Ronaldo and his team were still dealing a blow. With the draw, they lost ground on league leaders Al-Ittihad, who are now three points ahead in the league table. Moreover, there are only seven matches left until the end of the season. This means Al-Nassr will need every point they can get if they want to win the title.
