Al Nassr has surprisingly found themselves on the back foot. Cristiano Ronaldo and his men were handed a massive 1-0 defeat at the hands of Al Ain earlier this month. However, the team has the chance to turn things around as they take on the side in the second leg of the AFC Champions League Quarterfinals clash. The team will be desperate for a win as Luis Castro’s side is pretty much out of the race for the Saudi Pro League title with a 12-point margin separating them from table-toppers, Al Hilal.

Cristiano Ronaldo seemed to be in a great mood as he addressed the media ahead of his team’s clash against Al Ain. Despite their backs turned against the wall, the Al Nassr skipper seemed confident of a positive result ahead of their upcoming clash. Cristiano stated, “We will not spare any drop of sweat for the fans of Al Nassr. Tomorrow, remontada!(Remontada in Spanish means comeback).

It will be interesting to see if the team can keep their composure and find the win over their opponents. The past few games have not worked out in the team’s favor with the side handed consecutive defeats.

Fans will hope that Cristiano Ronaldo can also get past the minor roadblock with the player failing to score in the last two outings. Meanwhile, Al Nassr’s defense has also become a massive headache for the side, with the team conceding 10 goals in their last 4 games. The Al Nassr skipper has been the driving force behind his team’s success this season. While the likes of Talisca and Marcelo Brzovic may have made valuable contributions, it’s Ronaldo who’s had the most impact on the team. Ronaldo is currently the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League with 22 goals to his name and will need to bring that same momentum over to the AFC Champions League. The fans have a lot of hopes for the player and it will be interesting to see if the Al Nassr skipper can carry the weight of the expectations.
