Over the years, Cristiano Ronaldo has single-handedly carried the Portuguese National Team to glory on several occasions. The FIFA World Cup 2022 was a tough campaign for Cristiano Ronaldo on a personal level. Apart from witnessing his arch-rival Messi lift the World Cup; the Al Nassr star also got benched by Goncalo Ramos in Portugal’s crucial knockout owing to his poor outings. Ever since, Ramos, who had been knocking on the door with his performances has been higher up the pecking order.

Ahead of Portugal’s Euro qualifiers against Luxembourg, Ramos appeared in the pre-match conference. At the conference, the striker was informed that he has a better goals-per-minute ratio [57′] than CR7 [79′] for the National Team. This revelation flattered him as he had no idea. However, the PSG star didn’t let it get to his head as he responded to the achievement with humility and grace.
