It has just been a couple of days since Shakira and Karol G released their much-awaited song ‘TQG’. After the success of her first track, which was a diss towards ex-Gerard Pique, the wait for this song was high and The Latin artist again has thrown shades at the ex-Barcelona star with her song.

Another Colombian Artist, Carlos Vives, has shared his word of advice following the release of the song. Carlos is a 2x Grammy winner and has sold more than 30 million records worldwide, making him a pioneer in the Latin music industry. Along with his many accomplishments, he also shares a good relationship with Shakira, and always send messages to each other.
Carlos Vives’ message of support to Shakira
Carlos during the recent Premio Lo Nuestro gala shared some advice with the Colombian artist. “I don’t like to get into those family messes. One already after he passed 60 (years) one always wants to wish everyone the best,” he said.
Carlos further added, “I have a friendship with Shaki for many years. I send her messages when she texts me about something and I tell her ‘love yourself, think’; that is to say, ‘love yourself a lot’, it is everything that one wishes for the people that one loves”.
Shakira certainly has created a lot of controversy with her diss tracks towards Gerard Pique and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. It is good to see that Carlos is standing by Shakira and is giving her some words of wisdom.
Shakira’s diss at Gerard Pique in ‘TQG’
Shakira’s new song ‘TQG’ has certainly been well-received by fans. So far, it has amassed 69 million views on YouTube. The song, with Karol G, talks about the breakup of Gerard pique and Shakira. Shakira, just like her earlier diss track ‘Shakira Bzrp Music Session’, has once again taken various shots at Pique.

In her first verse, which when translated into English, Shakira reads, “And even my life got better, you are no longer welcome here / And what your girlfriend slayed at me, that doesn’t anger me, it makes me laugh”. Shakira also accused Pique of wanting to come back to her. “And you want to come back, I knew that much / Liking’ my photos”.

The pop artist also sang she got “triple M” after the breakup, claiming to be “much hotter, much tougher, much more class”. It’s clear that Shakira is not afraid to speak her mind and she certainly isn’t afraid to express it in her music.
