In an interview with Fashion Magazine Vogue, Shakira was asked about the most unforgettable moment in her career. The singer did not hesitate as she mentioned that her performance at the Super Bowl final is among her top memories.

“Many moments! But the Super Bowl [the singer performed in the championship final with Jennifer Lopez, in 2020] and the current VMA Vanguard are two that stood out in recent years [she was the first Latina to receive the honorary award in recognition of her trajectory and contribution to music].”

Shakira  has been accused of committing tax fraud in Spain, with a court in Barcelona claiming the star avoided paying taxes up to $16 million. While the singer and her team have been trying to find a way out of the issue, a group of prosecutors in Spain has filed another case against the singer under similar allegations.

The singer’s legal team has already issued a statement on the matter. However, Shakira is yet to speak on the accusations against her.

As has been stated on numerous occasions, Shakira defends, having always acted in compliance with the law and under the guidance of the best tax experts. Now she is focused on her artistic life in Miami and is calm and confident in a favorable resolution to her tax affairs.
