Two South American players, Endrick from Brazil and Kendry Paez from Ecuador have both accomplished the same thing in recent times. Both are just in their teenage years and have already impressed the soccer fraternity with their talents. 

While the 17-year-old Kendrick is set to join Real Madrid, the 16-year-old Páez will soon join Chelsea. Receiving offers from such esteemed clubs is an achievement at a tender age. So, it is only fitting to delve into what made them so sought after.

Let’s begin with Endrick, who plays for the Brazilian club Palmeiras. Despite his young age, he has made 74 appearances across all competitions for the Brazilian club. As for his performance, he scored 26 goals and recorded two assists.

His trophy cabinet includes two top goal scorer awards, two Brasileiro Série A champions, one Supercopa Do Brazil championship, and one Copa Sao Paulo De Juniors trophy. Furthermore, the 17-year-old also has two international caps for Brazil’s senior team.

On the other hand, Kendry Paez plays for Independiente del Valle, a team in Ecuador’s top-tier league. So far, He has appeared in 34 matches, scored six times, and assisted three times. The teenager is also a Recopa Sudamericana winner and a Supercopa Ecuador Champion. During his time with the Ecuador senior national team, he participated in five games and found the back of the net once.

While both Endrick and Kendry Paez have secured contracts with their respective European clubs, it will be some time before fans can witness their European debut. At 16, Endrick struck a deal worth $64 million with Real Madrid, but the club will have to wait until he turns 18 before finalizing the transfer. The forward’s eighteenth birthday falls in July next year, at which point Real Madrid will sign him officially.

Similarly, Kendry Paez faces a comparable scenario. Last summer, Chelsea reached an agreement to acquire Paez for approximately $22 million; however, they are required to wait until he turns 18. Consequently, the official move will happen later in the summer of 2025.

Nonetheless, reports suggest that this talented midfielder will touch down in London next week and commence early training with his new team. With all this concluded, the future looks bright for both these teenagers.
