“F**k Off”- Erling Haaland Goes Ballistic After Jumping On Referee During Manchester City’s 3-3 Draw Against Tottenham Hotspur

Emotions were running high following the nail-biting encounter between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. The Cityzens will feel robbed following the outing, as the side missed the chance to score in the dying minutes of the game. Erling Haaland was seen fuming as he decided to berate referee Simon Hopper, shouting at him for the poor officiating.

The closing minutes of the game saw Manchester City counter Spurs’ attack before Haaland was tackled by Destiny Udogie. However, the striker, despite the foul, managed to get the ball to Jack Grealish, who was in the open with goalkeeper Vicario. However, much to Manchester City’s annoyance, match referee Simon Hopper blew the whistle, indicating the foul on Haaland. His actions did not sit down well with Erling Haaland, who was all over the match official within seconds.

The dying minutes of the game between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur were filled with drama. While Manchester City was leading at the start of the injury time, Spurs found the leveler thanks to Dejan Kulusevski. However, Manchester City came very close to finding the winner in the last minute of the game but was denied by referee Simon Hooper.

The striker’s anger did not calm down as he was seen walking off the field in anger, shouting cuss words at the referee and Spurs star Brennan Johnson. The striker following his outburst was quickly ushered towards the tunnel by the Manchester City personnel.

Haaland’s anger was evident following the game as he took to his official X account to question the referee’s decision. His father Alfie Haaland also reacted to the decision calling it terrible.

 

Both Manchester City and Tottenham were phenomenal during the ninety-minute contest. While Pep Guardiola’s men dominated the majority of the first half, it was Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs who emerged as the better side in the second half.

Fans were left hooked to their seats throughout the entire ninety minutes of the exhilarating encounter between Man City and Spurs. The visitors found the opening goal at the Etihad thanks to an opening strike from skipper Heung-Min Son. However, his joy turned into misery just minutes later as Julian Alvarez’s set piece deflected off his thigh to land into his net.

Phil Foden then provided the Cityzens with an advantage, heading into the second half as he tapped the ball into the back of the net following a brilliant assist from Julian Alvarez. Spurs were not ready to surrender just yet as Giovani Lo Celso leveled things once again in the 69th minute.

While it looked like the game might end in a draw, Erling Haaland provided Jack Grealish with the perfect chance to bring City into the lead. The Englishman did not miss the chance as he found the back of the net after a long wait of 26 games. However, Grealish’s strike was not enough as Dejan Kulusevski found the equalizer at the ninety-plus mark to end the game on a draw.
