Last season, the Norwegian could not lock horns against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium, where his team achieved a glorious 4-1 triumph. Presently, the fans are concerned that he will miss the match against the Reds, as history may repeat. It is expected that the team’s manager, Pep Guardiola, will give a detailed update on Haaland’s injury when he sits with the press before the much-anticipated game.

Recently, a journalist who spoke to Manchester City News detailed what exactly is going on with the striker’s injury. The journalist said, “There was a bit of a scare around his fitness. Then you know I was speaking to someone in Norway, who said no no. They kind of seem reassured about it.”

The journalist also added that Haaland has the right attitude towards any adverse situations. His team presently maintains a narrow lead over Liverpool in the league standings, with a mere one-point advantage. Hence, City’s top position will be in danger if they fail to outperform Liverpool in the upcoming clash.
