Shakira has been a mom for the past 4 years giving two little boys (3 and 1) to Gerard Pique, center back of the Barcellona FC, probably the best football club in the world. Real football, that you call soccer! While I took these photos, here what what she said about being married to a soccer champion: ItÖs like being married to a soldier who doesnÖt die in the battle. (laughs) But he pretty much is anchored to Barcelona and he canÖt travel. And he wished to be here with me and he loved LA and likes America, but he canÖt enjoy it as much as I can because he has to be there for his team every day pretty much. Shakira opens up on the struggle of raising kids as a single mother
Colombian superstar Shakira was present at the Latin Music Festival hosted by Billboard in Miami this week. The singer, during the show, talked about her career as an artist. She recently made her triumphant return to the industry, with three record-breaking tracks this season.
While chatting with Billboard, Shakira also touched on raising her kids while being a single mother. The star commented that it was turning out to be difficult working with younger artists, who have different time schedules.
She said, “When [my sons] come home from extracurricular activities, I have to run from the studio to be there. It’s not easy because I’m working with young artists and they don’t go to sleep until 5 in the morning and they don’t wake up until 2 in the afternoon so I get to the studio when they’re just getting up, half-yawning.”

Colombian superstar embroiled in a tax fraud case
Shakira has been accused of omitting over $20 million in tax payments to the Spanish government. According to two different charges, the singer failed to register her taxes during her time in the country. A group of prosecutors in two separate lawsuits have claimed that the singer used shell companies to divert the payment to her domiciled country.
Shakira’s lawyers have already issued a statement on the issue claiming the artist is not guilty of the allegations. “As has been stated on numerous occasions, Shakira defends, having always acted in compliance with the law and under the guidance of the best tax experts. Now she is focused on her artistic life in Miami and is calm and confident in a favorable resolution to her tax affairs.”
