After facing months of public uproar, Gerard Pique tends to avoid commenting on his former girlfriend, Shakira. But certain circumstances are simply uncontrollable and the FC Barcelona legend has given it back. Surprisingly, one of his rivals on the soccer pitch was the one to start a ‘Waka-Waka’ chant amongst the fanbase.

Seemingly troubled by the same, the retired defender issued a stern response to the fanbase by calling them ‘a nobody’. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time this rival of Pique’s has publicly trolled him. He tends to be a sport during such times but the soccer veteran tends to raise his voice when the criticism goes overboard.

The former player in the limelight is none other than Iker Casillas. While the Real Madrid legend and FC Barcelona legend were the fiercest of rivals on the pitch for seven long years, it seemingly doesn’t matter anymore. Just like Pique, even Casillas is heavily involved in the Kings League. The former goalie was present at the afterparty in a club after successfully completing the league’s second season.

In the middle of the party, the legendary goalie decided to have some fun. He went up on stage and sneakily reminded the fanbase about the time when Spain won the World Cup in 2010. At that time, one of the most viral soccer anthems playing all across the globe was ‘Waka-Waka,’ a song that was composed and sung by Pique’s ex-girlfriend Shakira.

The fanbase began chanting her name ‘Shakira, Shakira’ loud and clear. Pique stood quiet for a while but then grabbed the mic. He had quite a hard-hitting response for the fanbase. He quoted, “I am also a world champion and you are nobody. Do something with your lives”. Hours later, the retired goalie posted a photo with his former rival on Instagram and wrote, “He gets rich. Maximum shamelessness!”

From the looks of it, Pique usually doesn’t really mind if the fanbase likes hearing Shakira’s music. Simply because he invited Manuel Turizo who performed Copa Vacia before the Kings League’s ‘final four’ began. A similar instance occurred in Camp Nou at the end of season one. The rappers called to perform did not hesitate before grooving on the Colombian icon’s diss track with a crowd of more than 92,000 people.

In the current times, Pique and Shakira need to be in contact for the sake of their children. That’s because the kids need to spend a stipulated amount of time with both parents. While Pique continues to mint millions from the Kings League, the Latin American singer has reportedly been upset looking at his efforts to spend time with his children during their summer break.
