Both Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have put in time and resources to develop the club, helping them climb out of the National League. While fans have high hopes for the side, Rob McElhenney once stunned his fellow co-owner with an outrageous claim surrounding the club.

“My brain is so full of endorphins right now. From the dog, I’m gonna say four, four years, Premier League. Possible, Oh that’s possible,” said the Deadpool actor in surprise at the prediction.

While making it into the Premier League in 4 years might be a farfetched goal, the team still has a fair chance of qualifying for the Championship. Currently playing in League Two, the Welsh side will have to find a way to clinch two more promotions to make it into the Championship, which is regarded as the toughest league for teams in England.

Wrexham looking to secure consecutive promotions

Following a slow start to the season, Wrexham has slowly started to pick up the pace. Following their first seven games, the team is positioned 7th with 12 points to their name. Wrexham is just three points behind the table leaders. A good run in the coming games can help the team find their place in the top 3 teams.

Both Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have made their grandiose aspirations clear. The Hollywood duo want to see the team bag consecutive promotion that will see the Red Dragons climb up to League One. While their ace Paul Mullin is still injured, the team has roped in a valuable name that could boost their chances this season.
