France Hit With Third Major Blow Ahead of FIFA WC Final Against Argentina as Karim Benzema Eyes Return

France is on the verge of making history as they are just one match away from their consecutive 2nd FIFA World Cup trophy. After winning every but one match in their campaign, France was always on the list of fans to make it to the finals. Kylian Mbappe is the joint top scorer of the tournament with Lionel Messi. The team is full of confidence and it will not be an easy match for the Argentinians. However, hours before the match, France had the third blow of the tournament, and this time it comes from Kingsley Coman. Coman has joined the list of unavailable players with Adrien Rabiot and Dayot Upamecano.

France ended Morocco’s dream World Cup run by beating them 2-0 in the semi-finals. Although Morocco fought hard and the match was a lot closer than what the score reflects.

Kingsley Coman to miss out finals due to illness

French coach Didier Deschamps had confirmed that Kingsley Coman is not feeling well. In their match against Morocco, Rabiot and Upamecano, both couldn’t play because they were ill. Both players had been the part of starting 11 in all matches and playing without them could have been very bad. According to the reports, the illness is caused by the virus known as ‘the camel’, and they placed all infected players in a separate hotel in isolation.

Deschamps, while informing the press, said, “Coman also had a fever this morning… In Doha, the temperatures have dropped a bit and you still have the air conditioning on all the time. We have had a few cases of flu-like symptoms. We are trying to be careful so that it does not spread and the players have put in a great effort on the pitch and their immune systems suffer.

Another French star, Karim Benzema was close to joining the squad ahead of the Finals. However, as per the recent report, the Real Madrid striker will not travel to Qatar, ending all the speculations of his presence in the finals.
