There were some nervous Al Nassr fans after reports suspected Cristiano Ronaldo‘s ban. Ronaldo’s actions of offending the Al Shabab fans came under the notice of the Saudi Pro League disciplinary committee recently. However, after the ban turned out to be one game, reports now suggest that Al Nassr’s captain suffers from an injury as the club takes on Al Hazem.

CR7 did not feature in the club’s squad for the game as the talisman’s suspension was effective. In addition, it is claimed that he is suffering from muscle fatigue. But, on a positive note for Al Nassr, reports suggested that the club deemed its skipper’s absence as good fortune for the club. “Castro believes that resting him from the Al-Hazm match is the right decision,” stated the report.

Meanwhile, the news is flattering since Ronaldo can arrive rejuvenated for the AFC Champions League game against Al Ain on March 4th. The Knights of Najd are in pursuit of their first Champions League title and look a very formidable unit. But the league match against Al Hazm turned out to be disastrous as Al Nassr dropped their goal advantage multiple times to draw the thriller 4-4.

Coming to today’s clash, it was Anderson Talisca who came to its rescue with a hat trick. Despite going into the game with a disadvantage, the 9-time Saudi champions took the early lead with the Brazilian’s penalty conversion but lost the advantage in the 53rd minute to Ahmad Al Mhemaid’s header. The game since then swung like a pendulum, with both the teams scoring one after another.

On the other hand, it is debatable if the suspended forward could have made a difference or not. The home team had 26 attempts, out of which only 9 hit the target. Nevertheless, Cristiano Ronaldo’s health is paramount for the club to hold more probability of becoming the Asian Champions.
