Former Barcelona star Dani Alves has received a massive setback from his ex-wife, who has decided to stop supporting her ex-husband. During an interview, Dinorah Santana touched down on her relationship with the soccer star. Santana also noted that she had tried helping her former husband, but he was just using her for his benefit.

“He doesn’t exist for me. He’s dead. I’ve always kept my head down. I’ve never caused any controversy, I’ve never made any scandals. I want him to disappear from my life. Alves could face a long prison sentence

The former Brazilian soccer star was indicted by a Spanish judge in the sexual assault case leveled against him in 2022. Alves and his lawyers have decided to go ahead with the trial as they remain confident of clearing his name.

Following his induction, Dani Alves’ lawyers issued a public statement claiming the player would support the law process. The soccer star is currently behind bars, with the court declaring him a flight risk. The Brazilian has agreed to submit his passport and wear a tracking ankle band to help the authorities.
