Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the richest athletes in the world, with a net worth of $500 million. Ronaldo is known to live a lavish lifestyle that also includes traveling in a private jet. Ronaldo bought the private jet, a Gulfstream G200, back in 2015.

This is the same plane in which the Portuguese star traveled to Saudi Arabia after his record-breaking signing with Al Nassr worth $200 million. And just one month after his move to Saudi, the 5x Ballon d’Or winner has sold the jet.

Why did Cristiano Ronaldo sell his jet?

According to reports, the plane had been on the market since July 2022. After around seven months, Ronaldo has found a buyer. However, the price and the name of the owner have not been disclosed. According to a Spanish newspaper outlet, Mundo Deportiva Ronaldo sold the plane to upgrade to a bigger jet and is tired of being in the same one.

Gulfstream G200 can transport up to four passengers and a few crew members. Given the size of Ronaldo’s family – which includes his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, and his five children – it’s understandable that Ronaldo would want to upgrade to a bigger jet.
