Benzema’s Al Ittihad took on Ronaldo’s Al Nassr on Tuesday. According to reports, the two players inquired about each other’s well-being and experience in Saudi. Starting with Cristiano Ronaldo, who asked Benzema, “How are you? Are you enjoying the experience? Different, right?” to which Karim replied with a nod, asking, “And you, how are you?” and the Portuguese said, “Good, very calm.”

The duo played a massive 342 games together in Spain. Apart from winning many trophies, they helped each other with 76 goals, of which 47 were assisted by the French forward, which is the highest Ronaldo got from any player. Being the highest goal scorer in the world, this bond would definitely be etched in Ronaldo’s heart forever.

Both players have also proven their worth in the Middle East. Ronaldo is currently the highest scorer in the league this season with 23 goals in 24 games, and Benzema is the second-top scorer for Al Ittihad with 12 goals and 5 assists. But coming up against each other, Al Nassr won the game convincingly by 5-2, which was followed by Benzema deleting his Instagram account.

Even though Benzema had a reasonable stint individually, the team has lacked the power it had last season. Al Ittihad is placed 6th in the league table, 15 points behind Al Nassr and 20 behind Al Hilal. Despite the chances of winning the league looking bleak, Benzema would definitely like to take his team to next season’s AFC Champions League.
