Ferdinand’s applause for Cristiano Ronaldo

In a recent conversation with TalkSport, legendary Manchester United center-back Rio, Ferdinand had some very appraising words for the Portuguese star. Bringing his fitness to the conversation, Ferdinand made a prediction about Ronaldo’s fitness in the future.

Ferdinand said, “Knowing Cristiano and how vain he is and how much he loves his good looks and how much he wants to look tip-top, there ain’t going to much change in him. Oh no, I’d cane him! I don’t think he’d allow it, honestly. I would cane him, I would hammer him.”

Ferdinand continued, “If he’s got a little derby sitting over his belt and he can’t see the name of his belt and he can barely see his toes, and he’s resting his arm on his belly when he’s drinking a pint, oh my god I’d pay a lot of money to see that.” Coming from his former teammate, these words of appreciation might boost the morale of the Al-Nassr striker who seems to be going through a rough phase.

Nevertheless, this isn’t a rare occasion with Ferdinand pulling Ronaldo’s legs with the former Manchester duo sharing moments like these together.

Ferdinand used to ‘bully’ Ronaldo

This isn’t the first time Ferdinand had talked about the former Manchester United star. Back in March in a talk, he revealed what he believes his contribution was in building up the game of Cristiano Ronaldo. He disclosed how he used to ‘borderline bully’ young Ronaldo during their table tennis match. He believes that his behavior towards him builds his resilience.
