With all that he has achieved, the Inter Miami star will be honored with another grateful gesture.

It is not something new to see Argentinians go mad about Messi. The World Cup-winning team carried him on its shoulders after the triumph. We’ve seen many people run onto the pitch to meet the captain. Now,that this craze has hit one of the local areas in the city of Rafaela, they decided to name a neighborhood after Lionel Messi according to a report.

The area is a newly established locality in Argentina that was just formed in April. Located in the province of Santa Fe, the area’s current name is Barrio 42, which will be changed to Lionel Messi. The residents came together with many other names, such as “Doctor Favaloro” and “Las Colonias,” and chose their captain’s name with a view to creating something memorable and leaving a mark.
