Things continue to change with every passing minute. While Al Nassr head coach Luis Castro has ruled Cristiano Ronaldo for the upcoming game against Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, it looks like the team remains positive about fielding the player in the match. According to reports, Cristiano has trained alongside his physical trainer before the game and has been included in the Al Nassr’s squad for the clash.

The Al Nassr skipper has been out with a muscular injury, missing most of the teams’ training sessions this month. While Cristiano has done his best to return to his optimal fitness before the game, he’s yet to reach his peak. It will be intriguing to see if Luis Castro features the player into his playing eleven this Thursday despite ruling him out of the clash.

There has been a lot of speculation over Cristiano Ronaldo’s appearance ahead of his team’s clash against Inter Miami. The Portuguese superstar has been out with an injury for a while now. Luis Castro addressed the media before the clash, stating, “We will not see [Messi vs Ronaldo]. Ronaldo is in the final part of his recovery to join the group. We hope that in the next few days, you can start working with the team. He will be absent from the game.”

The player reportedly spent the past few days training alongside his trainer and could make an appearance for a few minutes. Fans will hope that the news is true, with many expecting to see the Al Nassr skipper in action against his arch-rival. However, Luis Castro’s words could also be an indicator, as Al Nassr knows the player’s importance and would not like to risk him during a friendly fixture.

Lionel Messi and his men look to bounce back against Al Nassr

Inter Miami will hope to turn things around as they face Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr in the second fixture of the Riyadh Season Cup. The MLS side had a slow start to their campaign as they suffered a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Al Hilal. Miami, despite being down by 2 goals, leveled the game to 3-3 but conceded a goal in the dying minutes of the game.

The side might fancy their chances against Al Nassr, with the team missing some of their key players heading into the fixture. With the likes of Sadio Mane and Seko Fofana absent from the team, Miami could take advantage of the semi-complete midfield. However, Al Nassr, despite the shortcomings, has an impressive roster and will pose an enormous threat to their opponents come Thursday.
