Pulisic took to his social media to thank the fans after bagging the prestigious award. The American star bagged the award on the back of his impressive year with AC Milan. Pulisic, following his move to the Italian side, seems to have rediscovered his old self, with the player playing an instrumental role in the team’s title challenge.

AC Milan star Christian Pulisic is edging close to his old form. The player has done a great job turning things around following his move to Rossoneri. His efforts have not gone unnoticed with the player bagging the 2023 edition of the US Soccer Player of the Year award.

The award sees Pulisic level USMNT icon Landon Donovan, who also finished his career with four POTY awards. However, with the winger just twenty-five years old, the sky is the ceiling for him. USMNT fans will hope that he can continue his form during the upcoming edition of the Copa America and help the side make history.

Pulisic has put on some impressive performances so far this season. The player has made 26 appearances for AC Milan across all competitions, finding seven goals and six assists. While his numbers may not seem that impressive, the player’s efforts in the attacking third have been a tremendous help for AC Milan.

Pulisic thanks fans after winning US Soccer Player of the Year award

Captain America received a landslide vote bagging 53% of the total tally. Yunus Musah finished second with 21.5% of the votes, while Ricardo Pepi, who was considered the favorite to win the award, surprisingly finished third with just 12.9% of the votes. Pulisic took to his Instagram handle after winning the award as he stated, “Truly a blessing to receive this award and to represent this country doing what I love US❤️.”
