Al Nassr will be in action tomorrow night as they take on Al Hilal in the finals of the King Cup. There has been a lot of speculations over Cristiano Ronaldo‘s availability with reports suggesting the player could miss the game. But it seems the absence is related to the upcoming pre-season tour.

Al Nassr has big plans for the summer, with the team looking for a fresh start. The Knights of Najd have had a rather sub-par campaign this season with the team failing to get their hands on a single title. While the team has the chance to wrap things up by lifting the Saudi Super Cup, the team already has its eyes on the upcoming season. Well, fans will have to wait a little longer to watch Cristiano Ronaldo in Al Nassr’s colors with the player unlikely to be a part of the team during the pre-season tour.

Cristiano Ronaldo will lead the Portuguese national team during the Euros this summer, with the team looking to reclaim the European silverware. All eyes will be on Portugal, in what could be Cristiano’s final major tournament with the national team. With a lot on the line, the Al Nassr skipper is expected to leave the club after the season for a brief break before he joins up with the national team.

Al Nassr management has been left scratching their heads after being outplayed by Al Hilal on multiple occasions. The team does not want to play second fiddle to their arch-rivals and is planning to bring in some big names to bolster their ranks. According to reports, Al Nassr has been in touch with Manchester City superstar Kevin De Bruyne over a move to Saudi Arabia. The Belgian will enter the final year of his contract with City this summer and could be open to a move from the Etihad for a favorable offer.

While Pep Guardiola wants to keep the Belgian at the club, the management could be open to a transfer. Man City is expecting somewhere between $80 to $100 million for the Belgian and will not let him leave for less. Money has never been an issue for Saudi Arabian clubs and it will be interesting to see if Al Nassr can lure Kevin De Bruyne to Saudi Arabia. Regardless, the team might receive some competition in their quest for the Belgian, with multiple MLS clubs also keenly observing the situation at the Etihad.
