Sergio Ramos is heartbroken that FC Sevilla is out of the Champions League. Locking horns with Lens, Ramos, 37, broke a prominent record after opening Sevilla’s account in the 79th minute. Putting a penalty at the back of the net, the Spaniard overtook Roberto Carlos and Gerard Piqué to become the defender with the most goals in the league’s history. Nonetheless, this achievement failed to soften the blow, with Ramos venting his anger after the 2-1 loss.
The former Real Madrid star is never hesitant to take penalties and after scoring one against Lens, he silenced the jeering home crowd with a provocative shush and by cupping his ears. Be that as it may, Ramos was still frustrated, as his club failed to register a single victory in the competition, earning only two points and finishing last in their group.
