Paris Saint Germain’s shot at the UEFA Champions League has faded away this season. With all the initial conundrum concerning his transfer, Kylian Mbappe still led the side to the semifinal, scoring eight goals in the process. But, considering his overall impact on the club, fans still do not feel he is the best ever to play for PSG. Notably, French soccer legend Thierry Henry voiced his opinion about Kylian being PSG’s GOAT. But the fans could not stop arguing, with many taking a dig at Henry for snubbing other greats like Neymar.

In all fairness, Kylian Mbappe will leave PSG this season as their most productive star, scoring 255 goals and 108 assists. Hence, ‘it’s not even a discussion’ for Henry to say Mbappe was better than other PSG stars. Additionally, he won multiple trophies with the club, including 6 Ligue Un trophies and three French cups, apart from many other accolades.

Speaking on CBS Sports, Henry further added, “For me, Kylian Mbappe, with the impact he had all over the world, what he’s been doing, for me yes, he will go down as the best player for Paris Saint-Germain, and that’s me,” keeping Neymar away from the conversation.

Over the years, PSG has become known for acquiring some of the best players in the sport. Players like Ronaldinho and David Beckham were also part of their squad but had won no trophies earlier. However, with Neymar’s contributions going unnoticed, fans went berserk against the 1998 World Cup winner.

Thierry Henry was trolled for being biased for choosing Kylian Mbappe

After the video was posted on Instagram, one fan thought that the former Arsenal player had some memory issues, stating, “Mannn Henry should get checked for memory loss.”

Another fan thinks the 46-year-old favored his compatriot despite not scoring yesterday against Borussia Dortmund. He said, “Henry can be biased something. Mbappe was nowhere to be found in the pitch today. Mbappe is overrated.”

One netizen said, reiterated Neymar’s contributions to the team. During his career, the Brazilian scored 118 goals for the Parisians and had some stunning assists and skills for the fans. Neymar was also part of the PSG squad that reached the UCL finals in 2020, which impressed this fan. He wrote, “Neymar took them to the Champions League finals bro. Scoring 100 goals plus not being a striker.”

Supporters also felt Henry was right, and the trolls were not getting the context. A user commented, “I love how nobody understands what he’s actually saying.”

Henry also received an L from a fan who stated, “Always loved Titi.. but for once L take by him.”

Few fans also remembered their previous record-holder, Edinson Cavani, who scored 200 goals for the club. “It’s shocking how nobody’s mentioned Cavani,” and Cavani, Ronaldinho, Zlatan, Neymar??????,” wrote two followers.

Mbappe is set to be a part of the most successful team in Europe, Real Madrid. But the 2018 World Cup winner already made a mark for himself. However, it seems like many fans cannot see him as their club’s greatest, especially without reaching the Champions League glory. Is Mbappe the best PSG star ever? Let us know your take in the comments.
