Saudi Pro League has reinvented itself. Many European superstars have joined different clubs on big-money deals. While most teams have made some big transfers, Neymar Jr.’s Al Hilal and Karim Benzema’s Al-Ittihad have almost overhauled their squads.

Defending champions Al-Ittihad will be hoping to retain their title with Karim Benzema at the helm. However, the team will face a stiff challenge from Al Hilal, who has brought in some massive firepower. With the transfer window in its closing stages, it is likely that the two will look to make a splash in this season’s campaign.

While most Saudi clubs have roped in some big names in the transfer window, Al Hilal takes the cake. The side has assembled a star-studded lineup and will be eyeing to clinch the title this season. Al Hilal has spent $381 million this summer to reinforce their squad. The side went on a spending spree, with Neymar Jr. being their most expensive signing.

Al Hilal paid a handsome $100 million to secure the services of the Brazilian, hoping that the player can help them lift the league title this season. Apart from Neymar, Al Hilal has also done a great job signing the likes of Ruben Neves and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to strengthen their midfield.

Apart from their top three signings, the Saudi club also secured the services of Fulham want-away Aleksandar Mitrovic, Chelsea’s Kalidou Koulibaly, Zenit Petersburg’s Malcom, and Sevilla’s Yassine Bounou to cap off their overseas transfers.

While Al Hilal has spent a massive fortune this season, the side will face a stiff challenge from defending champions Al Ittihad. The Saudi side managed to lure away Karim Benzema, amongst others from Europe, bolstering their squad.

Defending champion Al Ittihad has a lot of pressure on their backs with the side looking to retain their title. With the Saudi Pro League now competitive like never before, teams will have to give their best. In hopes of clinching consecutive titles, Al Ittihad has made some massive changes to their team.

Al Ittihad roped in former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema as their marque signing this summer on a free transfer. The side has also brought in the likes of Fabinho and N’Golo Kante in hopes of strengthening their defensive midfield. Despite their rivals spending on a whim, Al Ittihad decided to take a calculated approach this season, spending just $80 million, including the signings of Fabinho from Liverpool and Jota from Celtic.
