In the last six months, Jordan Henderson has gone from becoming a villain to a hero. In the summer, he decided to accept the riches of the Saudi League and reunite with Steven Gerrard. However, his time at Al Ettifaq did not work out. The England international will now terminate his contract and join the Dutch giants Ajax. While some have criticized the 33-year-old for the sudden change, Aston Villa legend Gabby Agbonlahor has praised him.
He said, “Henderson is probably not a flash guy but a family guy. He probably spoke to his family, and he goes, I don’t need the extra money. He thinks I am 33, and I can still play at the top level. Why am I in Saudi Arabia not enjoying it? Sometimes, what is enough money? Neymar, and Riyad Mahrez, all these players don’t care”.
