No set date for the Al Hilal star’s return
Neymar tore his ligament last year during Brazil’s World Cup qualifying clash against Uruguay. The winger following the injury has been sidelined for an extended duration with reports suggesting the player could return to action before the Copa America 2024. However, the Brazilian medical staff do not wish to take any risks with the player’s recovery which might stop him from making his comeback during the coveted tournament.
Brazil’s team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar provided fresh updates on the player’s injury in an interview stating, “It’s too early, there’s no point skipping steps to recover sooner and taking unnecessary risks. Our expectation is that he will be ready to return at the start of the 2024 season in Europe.”
