Neymar appears to have already planned for 2025. Still recovering from his ACL injury to return to Al Hilal’s squad, the Brazilian player is active off-field. After traveling to the US recently, the maestro was back in Brazil and was seen visiting his first club, Santos FC, for the first leg of the Paulista final versus Palmeiras. However, the star did not leave Vila Belmiro before exciting his fans with a major tease about his future.

Neymar left Paris Saint-Germain last year to join Al Hilal; however, after missing almost an entire season, the player already seems to have set his eyes away. Reports suggest that the striker expressed his plans to play in the Brazilian League in 2025. According to UOL, Neymar spoke with Santos’ players in the dressing room before yesterday’s game, preparing them for his arrival next year.

Neymar met each of the club’s players but did not spend much time to avoid any distractions for the players before the game. It looks like his presence made an impact after Santos won the game 1-0. The fans also received the player with joy, chanting, “Ole ole ole ole, hello, come back home, Neymar,” inviting him back to his former abode.

On the other hand, Neymar himself would like to make an impact at Al Hilal before moving to Brazil. The former Santos forward faced successive problems with injuries last year. His initial problem started with an ankle injury last February, depriving PSG of his services for the rest of the season. Now, it’s Al Hilal, who has faced a similar issue after his ACL injury in October 2023.

Neymar played just five games for the Riyadh-based team, scoring just one goal and providing three assists. But, despite having some incredible back-ups, Al Hilal is still acing all the major tournaments without their $418 million marquee player. Nevertheless, the team in blue would like to make the most of the former Barcelona star’s potential final spell with them next season. But whether Neymar will add value to Santos if his move happens has to be seen.

Santos FC is in desperate need of players like Neymar

Santos FC, a club that has produced many legends like Pele, Pepe, and Coutinho, now needs another savior to lift it from dire straits. Neymar, who already expressed his desire to play for his maiden club, can take this opportunity to give back to the club once again. For the first time in its 111-year history, Santos was relegated from Brasileiro Série A to Serie B and will look to bounce back to the top tier soon.

Meanwhile, Neymar has already established his legacy with the club. Rising through the youth ranks, Neymar scored 72 goals for Santos’ senior team and led them to their first Copa Libertadores after 50 years in 2011. However, still considered one of the most talented soccer players, a return to the Sao Paulo club could be a game-changer for Santos.
