David Beckham has become a popular star in the USA. Reputed to be one of the greatest soccer players for England, the superstar is also known to have brought a revolution in the USA after his arrival to the MLS. Hence the player also struck a wonderful friendship with former NFL star Tom Brady However, despite being a humorous person, Beckham had a soft corner for the former Buccaneers player who was on the receiving end of some rough digs on the Netflix show ‘The Roast of Tom Brady.’ And after getting in touch with him, the Inter Miami owner also revealed how Brady surprisingly reacted.

On the Jimmy Kimmel Show, he was asked if he watched the roast, to which he positively replied. And then speaking about Tom Brady’s reaction later, he stated, “But you know I know Tom well and I must admit I did fire him a message just to check he was okay. I was like ‘Are you okay? However, when the question of him being part of such a roast came, he said, “No, absolutely. You know, the whole concept is you know it’s quite funny, it was very funny,” declining to do it despite being light-hearted. Beckham has made a mark in the entertainment world for his spell in modeling and being married to former Spice Girls star Victoria. However, the former Manchester United winger would not like to sit on such a hot seat but focus on his current documentary.

David Beckham’s documentary contrasting the effect of Tom Brady’s roast

While Tom Brady’s show made David Beckham a bit nervous, his documentary had the opposite effect. According to the Englishman, ‘Beckham’ had a soothing effect on him. Opening up about certain things helped the former LA Galaxy star feel better. With all the fluctuations in a remarkable career, Beckham said that the show “made me feel better about those moments.” The Fisher Stevens-directed venture became the number-one watched sports documentary on Netflix last year.

Meanwhile, Beckham’s club Inter Miami is also topping the MLS charts. Bringing in Lionel Messi and other European stars, the 49-year-old is impacting soccer in the USA. With all his contributions on and off the field, David Beckham will go down as one of the most prominent sporting stars in the world.
