An experienced free agent like De Gea added more to the mix. However, Barca head coach Xavi has unequivocally declared that the club has full confidence in their current goalkeeping options, specifically highlighting the impressive performances of young backup Inaki Pena.

Xavi put an end to the swirling speculations surrounding David De Gea and decided against seeking a replacement. “Signing a replacement for Ter Stegen? NO. We will not do that. We have confidence in our players. Inaki Pena has been playing at a very high level,” declared Xavi.
