In a recent candid interview with TNT Sports, Tottenham Hotspur’s Swedish forward, Dejan Kulusevski, threw a curveball at soccer enthusiasts. The star forward ranked former Chelsea player Eden Hazard as the best winger in Premier League history. The Swedish star shockingly placed Cristiano Ronaldo in the second spot on his list, reserving the top spot for the Belgian star Hazard. While naming his top five stars, Kulusevski stated, “Second, we have Cristiano Ronaldo because he played a little bit as a winger for United and, of course, a great friend, a fantastic football player while being one of the greatest players of all time. So, huge respect for him. Then the first, I have to say, Eden Hazard. He’s been my favorite player since I was young, and he made me happy.”

“Hazard made everybody happy by watching him play because it was just joy, it was just freedom, just like a child playing football, dribbling, scoring, assisting, and having fun. That’s what football is about of course. I watched him a lot, so, like his movements with the ball, I try to copy him as much as I can,” the Sweden international added.

Kulusevski emphasized Eden Hazard’s impact on his playing style and shed light on the profound impact of the Belgian on soccer enthusiasts globally. While he acknowledged Ronaldo’s greatness and expressed his immense respect for the Portuguese star, it was Hazard who was Kulusevski’s top choice for the best Premier League winger of all time. Be that as it may, there are also players who think Ronaldo was the best winger and were inspired by him.
