Now Entangled in Espionage Scandal, Cristiano Ronaldo ‘Needs to Shut Up’ on Absurd Claims, Says France Legend
Cristiano Ronaldo has been having a tough time off the pitch. The player’s name has been recently tied up in a scam reportedly done by an Italian personnel. On the other hand, things have changed dramatically for him after the Globe Soccer Awards.
Cristiano Ronaldo may have won the Best Middle Eastern Player Award and Maradona Award, but he has been under heavy scrutiny since then. His comments on France’s Ligue 1 sparked an outrage among French soccer experts. After being slammed by quite a few former players, CR7’s comments have invited another piece of criticism from a veteran who said he needs to ‘shut up.’
Ex-Chelsea and France star, Frank Leboeuf took a dig at Cristiano Ronaldo saying that he needs to avoid making such claims. Leboeuf expressed his dismay, “I have lots of respect for Cristiano as a player, but come on, he just needs to shut up at the moment. Messi already settled every debate. Messi left Europe calmly and deservingly but Ronaldo still wants to be talked about every time.” The Portuguese icon was recently criticized by another French star, Christophe Dugarry, for keeping Lionel Messi too much in mind.

“It annoyed me when I heard Cristiano Ronaldo saying that the Saudi Pro League is better than Ligue 1. Why do you think he chose to make that comment about Ligue 1 rather than any other League? It’s because Leo Messi played in Ligue 1.” pic.twitter.com/HmIwBZHgyE

Subsequently, Leboeuf also stated a similar reason for Ronaldo’s claim that the Saudi league was better than Ligue 1. Ronaldo had earlier asserted, “The Saudi Pro League is more competitive than Ligue 1, I can say that after one year spent there. We are better than the French league already now”, to which the former defender cited CR7’s rivalry with Messi for such comments.
Frank further stated, “It annoyed me when I heard Cristiano Ronaldo saying that the Saudi Pro League is better than Ligue 1. Why do you think he chose to make that comment about Ligue 1 rather than any other league? It’s because Leo Messi played in Ligue 1.” demanding the player leave the competition aside. Meanwhile, the face of Al Nassr has also been dealing with the espionage scam against him.
