Every soccer fan wants the club that they support to win trophies. However, that is only possible if that club has good owners. The size of their bank account does not decide a good owner, but whether they share the same ambition as the club he owns. It has to be a coherent mix of both of these factors. However, what’s the point if that billionaire owner doesn’t share the same vision as the fans? At that time, there was a rumor that the Sultan of Brunei wanted to take over Goodison Park. At that time, he was estimated to be one of the richest men on the planet.
