The one team that impressed many this season was Napoli. The Italian giants won the Scudetto after 33 years, and the coach Luciano Spalletti played a crucial role in the success. However, in a surprising turn of events, Spalletti announced he was leaving the club after guiding them to Serie A. Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis was soon on the market to find the right candidate.

After a series of talks with several candidates, Laurentiis decided to go with Rudi Garcia. The 59-year-old knows the Italian league well. He had a three-year stint with Napoli rivals AS Roma. The three-time French Manager of the Year winner also coached Lille, Marseille, and Lyon. After a disappointing spell at Al Nassr, his former assistant at Roma backs him for success with SSC Napoli.
