There aren’t many fixtures in the soccer world with the same hype and anticipation as the Manchester Derby. For years, it has produced some of the best moments in Premier League history. Today, on the newest edition of the Manchester Derby, Manchester United will face their local rivals at Old Trafford. Despite United’s dominance in the early days, Manchester City has had the upper hand in this crucial game. Former Liverpool legend Steve Nicol believes that Manchester City will outclass their rivals in the Manchester Derby. In a pre-match preview on an ESPN show, the Scottish international said, “Other than blind faith, and gut instinct and the fact that it is a derby, There is nothing that points towards a Manchester United victory. Every which way you look at this game there really should be only one outcome and that’s City victory. You can’t rationalize this game and come up with a reason why Manchester United are going to win it.”
