NWSL’s 2023 season is breaking more and more records each passing match day. With multiple attendance records this season, the league just attained another feat. Yesterday Megan Rapinoe starred OL Reign faced Racing Louisville FC. The match was very close, as Reign made a heroic comeback in the second half of the game.
With a 2-2 draw last night, OL missed a chance to grab the top spot of the table. The team has played 5 matches and won 3 with a draw and a loss. USWNT star Megan Rapinoe turned out to be the star catalyst of the team’s comeback from 2 goals deficit.
The push for the draw saw Rapinoe achieve another milestone in her decorated career. The husband of Tennis legend Serena Williams and the owner of Angel City FC talked about the feat NWSL achieved in the same game as Rapinoe made history.
