While there had been reports of Kylian Mbappe moving away from PSG and switching to Real Madrid, it seems like the French superstar has decided to stay put in the French capital. Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, in a recent interview, made it clear that his side will not be making any more signings this summer, closing the door on a potential transfer for the Frenchman.
It seems like Kylian Mbappe might stick to PSG this season. The World Cup winner put on a stunning performance in his recent outing against Lens helping PSG bag a 3-1 win. Following the game, his fellow $71.5 million rated teammate touched down on Mbappe’s future, believing that the Frenchman would stay at PSG.

Despite multiple reports, Kylian Mbappe’s fellow teammate Gianluigi Donnarumma believes that Mbappe could stay with the French side. In an interview following the game, the PSG goalkeeper touched down on his admiration for the Frenchman.“It’s a pleasure to play with Kylian, it’s fantastic. Is he going to stay? Yes, yes, for sure, for sure,” said Gigi.

With Kylian Mbappe’s contract expiring in the summer of 2024, the club needs to hurry if they want to keep a hold on their star player. As of now, the French World Cup winner has declined to sign any contract extensions, with plans of walking out of the club as a free agent in 2024.

While PSG might have managed to keep Kylian Mbappe in their ranks this season, the scenario could take a complete 180 next season. The French superstar has refused to sign a contract extension with the club and will likely walk out as a free agent next season.

PSG drove a nail in their own coffin after they slapped a massive $270 million price tag on the player, throwing away any potential suitors. The club tried all tricks for the player to sign a new contract by keeping him away from the club but were forced to bring him back into the mix following a couple of poor outings.
Based on reports, PSG has tried to persuade Mbappe to sign a new contract with a guaranteed transfer clause, but as of now, the player has declined any negotiation. If Mbappe leaves as a free agent next summer, it could be a massive blow for PSG, who will see one of their most prized assets join a rival side without any transfer fee.
