Things are getting more and more frustrating for former Liverpool player Roberto Firmino at the moment. The star is one of the few soccer players who’s been having a torrid time in Saudi. As per reports, his club, Al-Ahli Saudi, is set to let go of the player from their squad and is looking for other options. Andreas Pereira, a Brazilian player, is one of them, who has shown good prospects in the English Premier League.

Firmino, along with quite a few of his Liverpool teammates, moved to SA after receiving great offers from the Saudi Pro League clubs. But the star’s form has been below par, as his only three goals for them came in his first match for the team. But could Pereira be a suitable replacement for Firmino at the Al Ahli?

Al Ahli will now look to empty the foreign player spot by selling Firmino, whose deal is valid until 2025. Other reports also suggest that Firmino may head back to Liverpool for a second stint. The star has not been part of the starting eleven of a game since October and is ready to get away from the Middle East.
