Gerard Pique– the Spanish soccer legend who once used to draw swarms of fans, has had anything but the best of luck these past few months. Ever since the news of his split from hit singer Shakira, fans have been soaking him in a bitter cauldron of backlash and criticism.

However, looks like the Spaniard is not going through just rough waters with fans, but also with his friends. The 36-year-old is currently involved in a new venture, ‘Kings League’ with former teammate Sergio Aguero and Ibai Llanos. And on March 29th, Spanish soccer legend Gerard Pique was at the receiving end of some serious trolling from them.

Gerard Pique got brutally trolled by his friends

Ibai Llanos and Sergio Aguero spoke about Pique in a broadcast of the ‘Chup Chup Kings’ program. During the show, while talking about Shakira, the two spoke candidly about him and his current relationship with Clara Chia Marti.

With a surprised gesture, Aguero said, “Clara is the boss of everything, and we are thinking that she is Gerard”. To which Ibai responded saying “We are Piqué’s puppets, but he is Clara’s puppet, and there is a day when we go to where Gerard is and he also has strings, and we notice that he is like us”.

It appears from the conversation that the duo finds Pique completely under the influence of Clara. This also makes them under the influence of her as they follow Pique.

The conversation further progressed with Aguero referencing the popular Netflix show ‘The Squid Game’. “In other words, we are all Clara’s employees, she is like ‘The Squid Game’,” Aguero said. Ibai added that the cryptic message on the latest selfie of Shakira is a sign of this change, he said, “Or from Shakira, because [that’s why] she will have put ‘Chiaroscuro'”. 

Aguero misheard Ibai and wrongfully asked, “Do you mean that Shakira is the boss out there?” To this Ibai replied saying, “No. [That Clara handles] everything and we are in a very low step, because we are already Piqué’s puppets, and he is a puppet”. It seems that Pique is still subject to a lot of trolling, now even from his own friends.
