Haaland’s performance saw City settle with a single point following a 1-1 draw against the Reds. The draw can cost Pep Guardiola‘s men big time as the side has now slipped to the third place in the Premier League points table, trailing 1 point behind both Liverpool and Arsenal.

Erling Haaland’s performance was questioned by multiple fans who felt the player did not do enough to justify his role throughout the contact. However, internet soccer pundit Rory Jennings took things to a different level during his appearance on TalkSport. Jennings questioned Haaland’s impact at Manchester City, claiming the Norwegian lacks footballing ability. Talk about a massive statement!

Jennings stated, “He’s not a better footballer than any of the strikers. He’s very ungainly. He’s not particularly good on the ball. He is not good in the air, he’s not a particularly good footballer. He has no real footballing ability, but he excels at the most valuable commodity football’s purest currency is goals, and in that, he’s a billionaire.”

Considering the value he has added to Manchester City’s attack, this seems to be a very harsh assessment of the striker. Well, his assessment was as wrong as pineapple on pizza, with Haaland bagging 36 goals to become the Premier League record scorer last season. However, his performance doesn’t seem enough to convince Brazilian icon Ronaldo Nazario!!

It has to sting for Erling Haalad, who has been firing on all cylinders for the past few years. The Brazilian also picked Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo, answering a decade-long debate.
