Lionel Messi and the rest of the team enjoyed the game against Croatia, and the rest, as they say, is history. Even though Croatia took the game to La Albiceleste, the Argentines made it count in the most critical areas. They had seven out of nine shots on target and scored three goals in the semi-finals from those seven shots to win the game 3-0. Lionel Messi dominated one of the best defenders in the tournament, Josko Gvardiol, by taking him to the cleaners. His other striker partner, Julian Alvarez, scored a brace to keep the result intact.

There is no doubt that Lionel Scaloni has been one of the best managers at the moment. The La Albiceleste gaffer also received another award for leading the team to the World Cup trophy.
