It seems like his bet has paid off as Angel City FC is the face of the NWSL, with the franchise holding a staggering team valuation of $180 million.

Sportico released their latest list of team valuations for NWSL franchises, which saw the Alexis Ohanian franchise top the list. The side has seen massive growth in recent months, with its market value jumping from $100 million to $180 million. The franchise boasts twice the market value of Alex Morgan’s San Diego Waves, who are placed second with a team value of $90 million.

Serena Williams’ husband has been a key investor across various sports organizations. The Reddit co-founder, apart from Angel City FC, is also a key investor in Cloud9 (e-sports) and Los Angeles Golf Club.
