Wrexham has been through thick and thin for the past two decades. However, the Welsh club has seen a change of luck following the takeover from their Hollywood owners, Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds. The duo has done a great job at Wrexham following the deal. However, while their impact has brought joy to Wrexham fans, rival supporters do not seem pleased with the club’s unnatural growth. The 3rd episode of the documentary ‘Welcome to Wrexham S2’ showcased one such moment where rival fans were rejoicing the Welsh club’s misfortune after receiving a massive $25 million setback.

However, it seems like owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are not going to be thrown off by little roadblocks. Following the recent comments, Rob McElhenney had an interesting choice of words for his rebuttal, which was agreed on by Ryan Reynolds.

The latest episode of Welcome to Wrexham displayed the side in a different light. While things have been pleasant for Wrexham since the takeover, not everything has gone according to the plan. Rival fans have been somewhat disappointed at the team’s growth and have missed no opportunity to fire shots at the club.

However, it seems like the Hollywood duo is not going to take the extra drama. Rob McElhenney was blunt with his words as he asked the haters to F**k off, a train of thoughts that was agreed upon by Ryan Reynolds.

Ryan Reynolds: “I don’t know how you don’t root for a town like Wrexham.”

Rob McElhenney: “I’m telling people to f**k off and he’s telling people to hold on. Maybe there is a different way to look at things.”

Ryan Reynolds: “I mean, I agree with your assessment as well. They can f**k right off.”

Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds have done a lot for Wrexham ever since their arrival at the club. However, it is not possible for the duo to continue pumping in endless money into the club. With hopes of boosting the club’s infrastructure, Wrexham had applied to get aid from the UK government.

However, the sides’s request was rejected which left the owners in a tough place. While the side has been trying to build the Kop around the Racecourse Ground, it seems like the lack of financial support has held the side back. Wrexham released a statement this week commenting on the delay in the process.

“The new Kop will not be open for the start of the 2024/25 season with a projected build period of 12 months from commencement on site. There is no date for starting on site, as several matters need to be resolved before that can be confirmed.”

Fans will hope that the side can continue to perform well despite the minor setbacks off the field. Both the owners have done a great job since their arrival and will play a crucial role in the side’s success.
