Things could take an interesting turn in the 2024 Olympics as far as soccer is concerned. After Lionel Messi expressed his feelings, Kylian Mbappe also opened up about his possibility. As soon as the PSG star spoke about his dream, Thierry Henry who will be leading the team has given his opinion on the huge inclusion.

The presence of the duo would certainly raise the stakes in Paris. However, it would be interesting whether the clubs of both stars allow their star players in the middle of the season.

In an earlier interview, France manager Didier Deschamps had spoken about the possibility of including Kylian Mbappe in the Olympic team. Now, recently the PSG star has shared he would love to play in the 2024 games in Paris. He explained it would help him write his name in the history that was there for the national team. The statement from the Arsenal legend is a clear indication that he would love to have Kylian Mbappe available. But the huge problem that is holding up is whether he will stay with Real Madrid or PSG. This is because he would require special permission from his club. The national teams are allowed three players over the age of 23 in the Olympics.

Hence, it will be interesting to see whether Kylian Mbappe is one of the three in the team. But, as far as his competitor Lionel Messi is concerned, the Argentinian could return to Paris.

The Paris Olympics could see a repeat of the World Cup final

According to reports, it is not just Mbappe who wants to play in the Olympics. The sports gala could also see the return of La Pulga. Lionel Messi last played in the games in 2008. He also won a gold medal for the Argentina national team. But, it looks like the 36-year-old has expressed his wishes to play in the team under his former Barcelona teammate Javier Mascherano.

The La Albiceleste could further receive more good news. Along with the Inter Miami star, Angel Di Maria also wants to be a part of the team. The winger has announced his retirement from the national after the Copa America concludes.
