Contrary to what soccer experts believed, USMNT beat Iran and advanced to the next stage of FIFA WC 2022. USMNT beat Iran in a must-win match, by the heroic goal of Christian Pulisic. With the midfield of the team impressing everyone and now forward being all charged up, they might have their best run in the FIFA tournament. The USA is still to give a goal to the opponent. This is more impressive when you consider the fact that USMNT had England and Iran on their team. This good news brought happiness to not only USMNT but also to USWNT.
The team will face the Netherlands in the Round of 16 and, considering the form of the team, fans are expecting the USA to win. Even president Joe Biden is happy with the team’s win and congratulated them in a press conference.

Equal pay agreement between USWNT and US Soccer Federation
USWNT had fought a battle against the US soccer federation for equal pay, led by the legendary US player Megan Rapinoe. In August, the Court approved equal pay for USMNT & USWNT and 24 Million USD.
Megan Rapinoe said, “In the end, it came together… For us as players, I’m just so proud of the way we stuck together and really just kind of put our foot down. This is a huge win for us.”
