Yesterday, the soccer veteran and his family went out for dinner. On his way out of the restaurant, he met a bunch of fans.

The owner of the Argentine restaurant Gerardo Crea escorted Messi and his family out of the restaurant. The moment he exited; fans approached the soccer veteran. Amidst the slight commotion, the FC Barcelona legend’s son hid behind Antonela Roccuzzo. Mateo seemed quite shy and scared. He held his mother’s hand and attempted to hide from the crowd.

The video immediately went viral on the internet. It was quite a heartwarming and naive moment. Undoubtedly, the craze for Lionel Messi in America has reached another level. Just weeks ago, he took the surprising decision of joining the MLS over a hefty offer from Saudi Arabia. In the same video, a fan shockingly kissed the World Cup winner on his cheek sending the internet into a frenzy.

Fanbase goes crazy after a fan kisses Lionel Messi

As Mateo hid behind Roccuzzo, a fan emerged from the crowd and did the unthinkable. He managed to kiss Lionel Messi on his cheeks. He got hold of the soccer veteran for a picture. Right after clicking the selfie, the fan gave Messi a peck on his cheek. The Inter Miami star did look behind again to spot the fan but had to continue walking due to the fan’s commotion.

The video immediately went viral on social media. A fan reposted the clip and wrote, “I’m never washing my lips if I was that guy”. Amidst all the jokes, the Argentine will seemingly make his debut by the end of this month. Currently the highest earner in the MLS by far, the soccer legend has a lot of work to do as his new club has gone 10 matches without a win.
